The Mystery Weekend

Stephen Knox is our master organiser of the Mystery Weekend. Members are told how much it will cost and where it is starting from and the rest remains a mystery until the start. Always great fun and we’ve visited some amazing places!

The Plates Lunch Run

The Plates Run is held on the first Wednesday of each month and is designed to encourage you to get your older car out of the shed and give it a decent run. We meet at midday at the Brasserie at Riverside Oaks Golf Club at 74, O’Briends Rd, Cattai 2756. Generally enjoy a drink before ordering our meals. Service is quite prompt and there is a decent selection of reasonably priced food. There is undercover parking which keeps your car cool and we can venture outside for a group photo after lunch. We broke with the Riverside Oaks tradition in October 2019 and went to the Leura Gardens Festival instead. A fabulous day visiting four gardens ahead of the public showing and a lovely lunch at Everglades.

Kurrajong Cars ‘n Coffee

Cars ‘n Coffee is held on the second Sunday of every month in the village at Kurrajong. We start around 8 a.m. and grab a takeaway coffee, have a chat to people and enjoy the machinery. We seem to attract an amazing variety of vehicles with everything from a Goggomobil to an old fire engine with lots of different sporting c aars in between. We go into breakfast a bit after 9 a.m. at the Village Kitchen where a couple of tables are reserved for us. The event has been conducted continually since 2016 and has its own photo site here.

The Shed Tour

Every year Terry Daly orgaanises a Shed Tour where we visit a number of interesting sheds, see some fabulous machinery and eventually end up at Terry & Robyn Daly’s lovely house in Dural for a sausage sizzle and a cold one. This is what we found in one shed in 2019

Weekends Away

In 2019 Tom Axzel organised a great weekend up at Walcha. Some of us stayed at the very historic Langford house and Langford did the catering for all of us over the entire weekend. Great fun.
