The Big Trip

A party every night!

Each year the club organises a major trip away, usually for 10 days to 2 weeks. In 2020 Jack Jones planned a trip down through Victoria and returning along the south coast of NSW. It hada to be cancelled and we are hoping to revive it in 2021 In 2019 we did a fantastic trip of the USA starting in Tucson AZ and finishing in Carmel CA. We took in Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and Yosemite along the way. See the Special Edition of Top Gear for details on all the places we visited and all the fun along the way. In 2018 Barry Farr proposed a week on the Gold Coast followed by a week on the Sunshine Coast, but failed to generate sufficient interest In 2017 Julie Braithwaite organised a “Lap of NSW” that went as far as Lightning Ridge and Broken Hill and then came back along the Murray and into the high country at Thredbo. Pics are here In 2014 the “Peaks Trip” was organised by Jeremy & Julie Braithwaite and visited the High Country and the South Coast. All the pics are here In 2013 Terry & Robyn Daly organised a great Tour of the North Island of New Zealand. All the pictures are here. In 2012 Julie Braithwaite organised a trip to Malaysia, but was unfortunately not able to go as Jeremy had to go to hospital for spinal surgery. It didn't help when everybody came back and said what a good time they had had! Pics are here In 2011 this was organised by Barry Farr & Dott Forrester and involved a trip down the Great Ocean Road to South Australia and a run in the Bay to Birdwood event for those with eligible cars. Pics are here In 2010 Terry & Robyn Daly organised a fabulous trip to the South Island of New Zealand. Read the Top Gear story here. This is the presentation that Roger & Jeremy and everyone did at the August 2019 Club Meeting. It provides an excellent insight into all the places we went to and the fun we had:
